(Com)passion or bottleships repackaged
Communication is all about compassion. Those two are interrelated like sound and meaning. I emphasize the COM part of both words. Both are created in existence with others, or they would have no meaning. Needless to say that most communicators do not show a lot of compassion, but none the less were they not capable of transporting emotions or intentions to the listeners, they would be out of business or dubbed poor at their key profession. So the question is – what is the link and relationship between communication and compassion, and how do we increase our communication skills i.e. the way we choose to transfer data from one mind to the other i.e. our ability to create small ships, assemble them and reassemble them inside a confined space in the exact same way.
Being able to have conversations, relate your passion to others, hear about theirs, be interested in what they are all about, feel their pain and thrills are the ingredients for modern communication – in any form. This is the language of relations and of building and maintaining relations. Accept nothing less. We as a people do not care you are a company with limited funds. We demand your compassion and for you to be in communication with us, if we should invest our money, time, network, street cred on you. But relax, it’s not hard. It’s not a ‘pull yourself together’ game, au contraire, it’s a ‘let it go’ game. Let go of the old facade, let go of being picture perfect, and let go of being in control. It might not be easy, but it’s simple. And have a little compassion for being a beginner.
